Wii Want Wii Paint

Now if you had a SNES i'm sure u would remember the lovable and ultimate procrastinating game entitled "Mario Paint".

If u did not have a SNES or never got to play this delightful game this is what it featured:
-40 colours, 60 textures/patterns, 75 stamps
- Multiple Erasing Animations
-Music Composer
-Animation Making ... Thing
-Stamp Maker
-Minigames like Fly Swatter
and ofcourse there was just the general making of pictures using the stamps and colours.

The reason why i am telling you all this information is because i came to a realisation. Nintendo hasnt released anything outside of japan to match this lovable game on the SNES. Long Story Short, I believe that nintendo would be making a great investment bringing this back on the Wii!!!

In the end that is my opinion BUT i was just wonderin who else thinks it would be a good idea. Also what features could they add to make it more then what it was!

and even if nintendo makes one on wii i think it wont be that entertaining, since theres like guitar hero etc
But still it will be cool. lol and u can play mario paint in some website

I think it's an alright idea for little kids or something to play around with, but who really can draw that steadily with a Wiimote anyway? Maybe as a WiiWare thing, i wouldn't spend $70 on it if it got released in stores. Also, I'm pretty sure the Photo channel already has a basic drawing option anyway. If you wanted to draw on there, you could put some blank pictures on a SD card and use that. (:

good point .. when i played it ages ago i was a little kid and had good memories with it.
+ i am half asleep so i didnt really think this through much

I reckon if it ever did come out it should have a online mode featuring 10 player wifi pictionary ! once agin one of my non well thought of ideas while i half asleep

Honestly, I'd rather Nintendo didn't waste their time on gimmick games like Wii _____ and made more actual games, there are a lot of franchises that have no Wii versions yet...

yeaa. the thing is that i'd wuv the memories from childood with this game brought back but Nintendo would probably not be able to produce what it was. At the time it was allot of fun and if u didn't play it you probs dont understand what i'm sayin. I would like more opinions of people who played it.

i dont think this will happen, as much as must people would love to paint on the wii, the wii-remote is particually hard to draw with. Also people that get the shakes, eg my brother. wont be having a fun time trying to draw.

totally agree with you 'we' or 'wii' seriously need some new games i had to buy a 360 cos i got bored with playing the same game on the wii, its such an awesome console but it lack ever ever ever so much...
talk about potential.

p.s a good example of needing a new game for the wii, i was up till 4 in the moring at a mates hous eplaying mario strikers online lol we do it almost once a fort night..

Eh, aside from Kart and Party, I never really got into the Mario spinoffs, but alright.

I guess this sounds gimmicky to people that havent played it because most people wuved the SNES version. I knew how to make animations and little cartooons, make awesome songs and etc. on that before i could even use a keyboard.

Photoshop is expensive...

Anyway I think it would be nice to see something like Mario Paint on the Wii. People can get very creative with just some basic features.

I remember having a mess around with Mario Paint back in the days, I wish I had an original version now. Very hard to find one complete and in good condition.

The best thing about Mario Paint (besides the 2 button mouse) was the music editor.

A Wii-Paint program could work if it came with a mouse (yet another white peripheral) or offered DS/DSi connectivity for tightly controlled input.

It would also need some other functionality like the SNES had with the music program.
