Nintendo Confirms New Super Mario Bros Release Date & Announces Midnight Launch
Nintendo Australia has today announced that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be released in the region on November 12, 2009. Retailers revealed the date a little while ago, but it's good to have confirmation from the Big N themselves.
Nintendo also announced the official midnight launch at The Nintendo Experience, EB Games Swanston Street, Melbourne, on November 11. On Wednesday November 11, everyone is welcome to come along and experience the unforgettable fun of Mario and his friends with New Challenges, New Adventures and Up to 4 players in this hugely anticipated game, all in the excitement of this dedicated interactive Nintendo store.
New SUPER MARIO BROS. Wii allows up to four players to play together, competitively or cooperatively. Pick other players up to save them from danger, or throw them into it! New SUPER MARIO BROS. Wii brings family entertainment into living rooms and engages groups of friends and family in fast-paced Super Mario Bros. fun!
As you navigate your way through the side scrolling worlds of New New SUPER MARIO BROS. Wii, additional players can jump into the game at any time and on any level! Mario, Luigi and two Toads are all playable characters in New SUPER MARIO BROS. Wii, while many others from the Mushroom Kingdom make appearances throughout the game. Players can even ride different Yoshi characters and use Yoshi's tongue to swallow enemies - or their fellow players.
