Icarian: Kindred Spirits Announced for WiiWare
Newly formed Studio Over The Top Games have announced their debut title Icarian: Kindred Spirits exclusively for WiiWare. The 2.5D platform/adventure game will play and look similar to Kid Icarus and Lost Winds, also of WiiWare fame.

The official blurb for the game unveiled in the press release goes as follows, Experience with ICARIAN: KINDRED SPIRITS™ the awesome story of Nyx, an enigmatic winged girl, that must descend from heaven in search of her missing friend Icarus.

Overfly the ruins of ancient Greece and avoid falling into blazing sands or perishing in the claws of cruel harpies and hydras. You will need the help of Zeus and other benevolent Gods from Olympus to summon their powers. They will let you cast rays, modify the scenery and control winds at your wish... With your own wrist movements and pointing to the game screen, you will be able to achieve these and many other feats in this new and enjoyable Wii™ platform game.

Icarian: Kindred Spirits Announced for WiiWare

Fly, aim and shoot using the new and fullest potential of your Wii Remote™.

The Spanish company are yet to confirm a release date, although the title is currently listed as "soon". Over The Top Games are using WiiWare to release their first title to the gaming world. Hopefully others will follow by using Nintendo's original download service to break into the industry.

Why isnt this a Kid Icarus game? Doing that would sell more copies IMO, i mean, we have Pit in Brawl so what better time is it to make a another kid icarus? Then again, the Ice Climbers in melee didnt get us a new ice climber game so...

Plus, i don't know if a kid icarus game would sell good at the moment, being the fact that guitar hero and rock band dominate christmas lists across the globe
