Apparently this game's gonna be online... something i am absolutely drooling about... I mean, it's a ridiculously fun game but when there's no opponents other than your regulars then it gets boring. It's remeniscent of the time they had a cheat for Barbarian on the C-64 where the girl would be naked after you killed the mage at the end of the game. Pure pixelated genius. Now if they can only make Jessica Rabbit a reality.

Oh god, Hivltg3 i couldn't agree with you less. I hope they get rid of all the glitchy stuff like wave-dashing. I mean, if you (sorry, not you personally Hivltg3

) need to rely on a glitch to win you're basically cheating. My regulars have banned these kinds of cheap methods and hopefully they won't be on Brawl. Hopefully the Wii will be powerful enough to make sure that these kinds of glitches aren't possible.

I want this game so bad, I heard it is coming out early June. The characters that I am pretty sure of are Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Fox, Samus, Meta Knight, Pit, Wario, Zero Suit Samus and Snake. I've heard that Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Bowser and Falco will be in it, but i'm not sure if I can trust kids from school. P.S. I like on Super Smash Bros. Melee when you used Kirby and got the Ears ( I can't remember what they're called) and you could do heaps of high jumps, saved me one time from falling to my death.

Easy, they would attack by throwing bowling balls at people, hitting people with baseball bats, golf clubs and tenis rackets and punching people with boxing gloves. Oh yeah btw the Mii's could be the melee replacement of fighting wire frames... so theyle have pretty normal fighting moves. Even though im not really for the idea, thats what i came up with. Just to pwn noobs @ smash with your mii that has no special abilities (obviously having a disadvantage)

umm that rumor about cel shaded link, ridley and bowser jr. were found to be made up by some stupid little french kid. It went around the net like wildfire somehow.. although i believe ridley to have quite a large chance. I believe "dr. mario, pichu, young link and perhaps even roy" to be leaving.. but no one else.. the rest are far too original. I've studied this game for agers.. I made up a roster of who i believe to be in.:

hmm...well as far as i can tell from the pics and extremely vague (and somewhat cryptic) descriptions, its talking about a game mode (story mode?) in which the characters all exist as trophies normally, however they are brought to life in the ssb universe to fight and win. those who lose, like kirby apparently does against mario in the picture, are returned to trophy form, hence the "Being turned back into a trophy, being unable to fight, is much like death" line above the sixth picture. as for the "breaking the rules" part, im guessing from the pictures that mario brought kirby back to life and they formed a truce, thus refusing to fight each other.

this apparently went against the rules of the ssb universe and thus "When someone...or something...breaks those rules, the world will pay a terrible price..." so basically refusing to fight is against the rules and calls for the world to pay a terrible price, namely:

after that im at a loss. i cant think any further than that.

EDIT: someone just told me that purple thing is called the 'master puppet.' probably a load of b******, but ya never know...

You can use the classic controller, the Gamecube controller and the Wiimote horizontally aswell. There is loads of options.

I think it should be released in Australia in Feburary as well as USA because notice before the release date got pushed back it most sites said "Australia TBA 2007" meaning it had to be in December. So this could very well mean its gonna be here in Feburary.

Also a big what-if. But in Super Smash Bros. Melee, if you scroll through the medals, you will see a few that come from the game Earthbound, and the bottom title says, not released in Europe. I know there is definately a miniscule of possibility, Super Smash Bros. Brawl may have the same fate in Australia due to the fact that there hasn't been a release date shown anywhere in like, two months and it has been ages since the E for everyone exibition in America for the game.
Even if it is released in Australia, WHY DO THEY KEEP US HOOKED ON A PEICE OF 'RELEASED IN 2008'???!????

Tell me about it. I was watching everybody's final smashes, and for some strange reason, I started feeling kinda sick of it!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, it's not even released in Australia yet, and I was feeling bored about it!!So I quickly switched it off and haven't watched another one since! I feel horrible! Well, simple answer, throw your Wii in the trash and buy a new one. Modchips are never the answer, they cause incompatibilities and faults like nobody's business! Most games are now built to detect modified firmware, and if found, will refuse to run.

Moving on... I too am appauled that they can't tell Australia their release date. I've never lost faith in Nintendo before, but this is starting to kill me inside. I WANT BRAWL DAMMIT!

Well, Wikipedia and the Aus Nintendo Site both say TBC/TBA, and the Nintendo site was updated on the 12/05/2008, and EB games and retailers generally just make up a release date if theyre unable to actually get one from the company.

But if we havent found out yet, im going buy what ive seen that its the 26-28th of June for release.

I cant wait that long.

i love this game. but the thing is that i already finished Subspace(in 2 days. with no help.only 11year old) and i only brawl til i drop.but still this game is a work of art.

Well i bought this game at the start of this week and unfortunately and (looking at all the other positive comments about this game) unusually didn't like this game. The gameplay was far too intense and i found there was too much level design to a point where my eyes became strained at times. I found myself struggling to follow my character around my 52inch screen. Therefore i went back to EB games, returned it and for almost the same price exchanged this game for smooth moves and RE4. A much better deal imo

ssbb yeah it does get boring but once you get into the game and IF youve played the other ssb's you'd understand its competitive fun!

SsbbTtpro you can compare the two in the fact that they are both fighting games. Teken you say? That came out much later than SF. SF is probably the most successful fighting series ever made. That said i think they know what they are doing.

Firstly sstpro you obviously have not played a SF game or at least properly. To say that SF is not skill based and that its a game of just remembering the right moves at the right time is silly. Id like to see you parry for instance.

have you played SSBB properly, i dont think so even!
if you had you would have known theres alot more then just playing it on a 52" screen (whoop de do) ... i have played street fighter, yes i did get into it for a while, but i realised the was other games better than that i PERSONALLY found; more competitive, more fun, extensive community, and personal skills apply the most.

i understand your taste for brawl, being its boring and none-other explanation for it, but even some critics seemed to like it in some aspects, plus if you trade brawl in for smooth moves i shall end this convo.

roys suceeded a whole lot more than ike, mewtwo had totally different moves that involed mind teleknesis; where lucario had phiscal damage with an aura around him that increased as he took damage.
