This accessory has a couple of things that are great for not so obvious reasons. It improves balance, co-ordination, and core strength. Occupational Therapists are already using the Wii for theraputic applications, I reckon the Physiotherapists will have a cow when this comes out. Best of all, for people using the Wii as a rehab tool, it's an affordable item in the reach of most budgets.

The parody was funny, but for some people "standing around doing nothing" is a big challenge after an acquired brain or physical injury, if things like this help them to recover some ability then is that such a bad thing?

Personally I think it sounds great and I can't wait to get it when it comes out for myself

God knows I could use a bit more co-ordination

This is a great little product.

I've been using it for 15 days now.

While I haven't lost weight, my posture has improved as well as my balance and lower body strength (in the thighs and calves)

I'm even having a stab at YOGA, which I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole before.

If I do more jogging with this thing, I might start to lose weight...

I looove the Ski Jump, it's so addictive.

Get it, and enjoy.

The next thing they're bringing out for use with the board is a Skiiing game, called Family Ski in Japan. You can actually ski with just the Wii Controller and Nunchuck or with the Wii Fit Board too.

As DryBones62 says though, someoone could get hurt.

My 64 year old Mother in-law was trying the Soccer Heading in Wii Fit and was lifting her heels and slamming them down, trying to get her character to sway left and right.

Needless to say we vetoed buying one for her after that.

Oh, and Yoga is harder than it sounds.

I just went to a shopping centre, and as I was walking past EB games, I thought I'd stop in and have a look. They've just started taking preorders for Mario Kart for Wii, and while I was preordering, I thought I'd try my luck and see if there's anything new on the Wii Fit. Sorry, haven't logged in for a long time.

I haven't tried any other games but, there is a new game out called Family Ski which uses the board and the controller and the nunchuck which I would like to try.

You use the board to steer the skiis (just like the Ski Slalom in Wii Fit) and the controller and nunchuck as stocks to move yourself along flat areas.

I haven't got it, yet, but I will.

Excellent, I use my wii fit everyday. At first my age fit was above my age alot. But now it is only a couple of years out. My favourite exercises are the hoola hoops,step,skiing and a couple of yoga stretches. Hopefully there will be a trend going around with wii fit bodies. Lets hope this exercise goes make use fit and healthy.

ive been playing a bit more than i had, and ive found it a lot better than i gave it credit for.
I really like the heading, the stepping and most of the muscle and yoga workouts.

I bought mine yesterday at Target. They got a toysale there and it is priced at $130. I got mine at 8:30 am and when i left the store at 9:30 am there were 10 people behind me. so GOOD LUCK!

I bought this for the fun of it not so much the excercise. But coming from someone who loves mini games (eg Wii sports and carnival) I enjoy all the random games on Wii Fitt.

If your willing to part with the money then its worth it. Though i did get a bit bored of it after a while (I also get like that with a lot of things).

The Wii Fit is fun for like the first few days/weeks, but after a while, when you've unlocked everything and played them alot, it gets so boring...And the push-ups ARE hard, well...maybe its just me. But for people who think that Wii Fit is only for losers, you're wrong. Wii Fit isn't only for getting people fit, its also just for the fun of it. And what also gets extremely annoying (for me) is when you have to keep picking up the wii remote to pick an activity, and then just stand there and wait for like a minute... and then finally get to play...then just repeat the process again.

Why can't they have a built in wii remote kinda thing, so we don't even have to touch the Wii remote.. like DDR.

Wii fit is in some gyms in australia now altho i heard it cost around $140 for a 45 minute session sooo wayyyyyyyyyyy cheaper to buy it if you had a wii but i guess itd help make you fit if you play it enough(aswell as a balnced diet/exercise/gym membership LOL)

After using this for a couple of months, me and my mates worked out how to cheat using wii fit...from the couch. 18 secs down the slalem ski slope!

ps.real exercise is better, go for a kick of the footy instead

i agree with you but having a "personal trainer" for like $130, permanently in your home, for 24/7 access, would probably encourage more excercise and you would be more motivated by the easy views of how you are improving
