Around the Network #11
Welcome to the MyMedia Around the Network feature! Some of you may remember this as the MyMedia Community Update, and it is essentially the same thing with an emphasis on type of content rather than each site.
This will be published each Monday afternoon/evening to keep you up to date with everything that has happened across MyMedia in the past 7 days. We'll also update you on what is planned for the week ahead.

Halo 3: ODST Review
A taste
Halo 3: ODST went from being purely a scope add-on for a silencer to an all-new weapon for extra grunt. It’s difficult to determine whether or not that’s really a good thing after having played through the ODST single-player campaign, but one thing is for certain, and that is that it still maintains the Bungie accessibility and enjoyment that has made the Halo franchise what it is today. While ODST is far from perfect, it still holds up in the wake of its predecessor, offering a fun (albeit horrendously short) single-player campaign, some new multiplayer maps and the new Firefight online mode.

Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box Review
A taste
Professor Layton is back in his second western release Professor Layton & Pandora’s Box. Fans of The Curious Village have no doubt been highly anticipating the chance to have another crack at the professor’s brainteasers for the past year and a half. While the series has been an overwhelming success in Japan, it is still trying to find a break in the English speaking markets. For those who didn’t play the first game, it is essentially a series of puzzles that’ll have you racking your brain using maths and linguistic skills, along with intuition and logic to find the solution.

Up Review
A taste
Producing instant "classics" with the likes of 'Finding Nemo' and 'Cars', Pixar can scarcely put a foot wrong in the movie business and the same can be said about their most recent animated film 'Up'. As with most of the high profile Disney/Pixar films the licensing juggernaut will always guarantee a corresponding console game tie-in and in this case it is (of course) Up for the Wii.

Need for Speed SHIFT Review
A taste
The Need for Speed franchise has lost plenty of drive over the past few years. After two mediocre entries in Pro Street and Undercover condemned the brand below the likes of Midnight Club and Forza, EA decided it was about time to wipe the slate clean and start anew. After setting a standard with the great Underground titles (which took advantage of the then super-popular The Fast and The Furious movie), it seemed that each new street racing title went down a notch in quality. So it’s great that we’re seeing an all-new direction for the franchise in SHIFT, easily the best Need for Speed in years.

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter Preview
A Taste
After a successful appearance on the DS, Drawn to Life is finally coming to the Wii. Questions were asked as to why a version wasn’t originally made for the console considering its control waggling abilities and gamer demographic. The idea seemed like a match made in heaven, and when Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter was announced, it was met with plenty of excitement and hype.

How to Book a Free Games Server
A taste
If you like to play online games like Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4, Counter Strike etc and want to have organized private games without the interruptions of randomly joining people. Then booking a private server is the way to go, not only do you have an uninterrupted game you also have the ability to adjust some basic settings though RCON commands. Map select, time limits, voice options, password locking and more are adjustable when you have booked a server yourself. Some of these options can even be set while making the actual booking. This guide will show you how to get started with booking a private server using GameArena. It's a free service that anyone can use even if you are not a Big Pond client.

Pointless but interesting fact of the week
Welcome to the latest intalment in Around the Network, "Pointless but interesting fact of the week". As it's the first week we have not one, but 3 whole facts for you. These will just be swiped from random places around the internet, so no guarantee they are 100% accurate (after all we want interesting and pointless, not stuff we already know). Enjoy!
The sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,"uses every letter in the alphabet.
Coca-Cola was originally green.
Its impossible to lick your elbow you probably already knew that but 50%-70% of people who read that just tried to lick their elbow.
